What is a Guru?

The word guru has many meanings. It is misunderstood especially in the West and has a very broad meaning.
Guru can be internal or external.
The internal one, at the energetic level is Jupiter, the planet that governs the 2nd chakra, that of emotions and love. At the higher level, Guru is atma, the soul that resides in every human being. The true, the only Guru, the supreme Guru is God himself.
The external Guru can be a person who can give us knowledge of different types and degrees. The highest knowledge is the knowledge of the Creator, of God. Either this type of knowledge can be transmitted to us only by the one, or by those who have already known God. Such a person is called a realized Guru. He can be easily recognized because he is like a beacon for others. Unfortunately, nowadays, no one knows such a person.
Those who are not realized Gurus can be called Gurus, but perhaps it would be more appropriate to call them teachers, who can only help us up to a certain point.
During our life, each of us has several gurus. The first and most important is our mother, who loves us selflessly and prepares us to be able to fight with life. Then each of us has many educators, teachers, professors… who can be called Gurus because they teach us something. We can then even have a Guru on the spiritual path, not necessarily realized.
Most people, when they hear this word, interpret it as something negative, as a person who leads a sect… or something similar. This is due to the fact that over time many false Gurus have created this situation.
There have always been false Gurus and true Gurus, and it will always be like this.
Each of us, depending on the evolutionary level where we are, will certainly meet the type of Guru that our karma will attract. The important thing is to be able to recognize a false Guru, to fight him and defeat him. Certainly not everyone can do it because a false Guru has a colossal power over his disciples. This power is given by the ignorance within them and their opposition to change.
Therefore every human being has a Guru.
On the spiritual path there is a desire and a need to have a Guru, who can help a disciple to know God. It would be wonderful if he were a realized Guru. Otherwise, the person can make big mistakes that will distance him from God.
